We Build Courses That Ask Something of the Learner

Pikanet Code exists because AI education that treats depth as optional tends to produce knowledge that does not hold under pressure.

Our Story

Started in Bangkok, Built Around One Observation

Pikanet Code grew out of a frustration with how AI education tends to work. There are many resources available — video courses, tutorials, documentation — but most are built around pace rather than understanding. Topics get introduced and moved past before they have settled. The learner accumulates exposure without quite acquiring knowledge.

We started in 2022 with a single course on transformer-based language models, written to the standard we felt was missing. The material was dense, the exercises required real engagement, and the writing assumed the reader was capable of handling complexity if it was presented clearly. The response to that course told us there was an audience for this approach.

Since then we have added a programme on AI ethics and responsible development, and a track on production AI systems engineering. Each is written to the same standard: careful, current, and demanding enough to produce the kind of understanding that holds when you actually try to apply it.

We are based at 156 Charoenkrung Road in Bangkok's Bang Rak district, though our students are spread across Southeast Asia and beyond. The programmes are delivered entirely online in English.

Our Mission

To write educational material in AI development that respects the complexity of the subject and the capacity of the learner. We do not simplify past the point of accuracy, and we do not treat pace as a virtue.

What We Value

Depth over breadth. Comprehension over coverage. Applied work alongside theory. Content that reflects what the field actually looks like in 2025, not what was standard three years ago.

Who We Teach

Practitioners who already have technical grounding and want to go deeper. Professionals who recognise the ethical dimensions of their work. Engineers who want to understand the systems they are being asked to build and maintain.

The People

Small Team, Full Ownership

Each person at Pikanet Code is directly involved in writing, maintaining, or supporting the courses they are attached to.

NK

Nattapong Kiatisak

Curriculum Lead & NLP Author

Wrote the NLP course material and oversees the technical accuracy of all programmes. Previously worked on language model research at a Bangkok-based technology firm.

SP

Sunee Phongsathorn

Ethics Programme Author

Developed the AI Ethics curriculum with a focus on Southeast Asian policy contexts alongside broader global frameworks. Holds a background in philosophy and technology studies.

WC

Wichai Chotirosseranee

Production Systems Track Author

Designed the Production AI Systems Track from direct experience building and maintaining ML pipelines in commercial environments. Focused on practical engineering over theoretical framing.

How We Work

Standards We Hold Ourselves To

These are the practical commitments that shape how our courses are written, maintained, and delivered.

Content Currency

Course materials are reviewed on a regular cycle. When the field moves in ways that make existing content inaccurate, we update rather than append.

Data Privacy

Student data is held securely, used only to deliver and support the course the student is enrolled in, and never shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Accuracy First

Where a topic involves genuine uncertainty in the field, we say so rather than presenting a clean narrative that is simpler but less honest.

Responsive Support

Questions from students are read by the people who wrote the material. Responses are considered, not automated. We aim to reply within one working day.

Applied Work Included

Every programme includes practical exercises. These are not optional extras — they are designed as part of the learning structure and use current, publicly available tools.

Transparent Pricing

Prices are published upfront in Thai Baht with no additional charges. What you see on the programme page is what you pay, once, at enrolment.

Our Approach

AI Education That Holds Up Over Time

The study of AI development — particularly the language model side of the field — moves quickly, and educational material that was accurate two years ago may now misrepresent how things work. At Pikanet Code, we treat currency as a maintenance obligation rather than a selling point. When the field changes in ways that affect what we teach, we update the content.

Our NLP programme works through the mechanics of transformer architecture, attention mechanisms, and contemporary approaches to text representation and task design. It is written for learners who already understand the basics of supervised learning and want to develop a working understanding of how modern language models are actually constructed and applied.

The AI Ethics and Responsible Development programme takes a different character. It is not a technical course, though some technical context helps. It is written for people who recognise that deploying AI systems into the world raises questions that do not resolve easily — about fairness, about accountability, about the environmental costs of computation, and about what it means to act responsibly when the consequences of your work are genuinely uncertain.

The Production AI Systems Track is the most practically intensive of the three. It covers the engineering discipline of building AI systems for ongoing deployment — how to structure pipelines, how to monitor for degradation, how to build in the feedback loops that allow a system to be maintained and improved after the initial release. This is the kind of knowledge that tends to be hard to acquire without direct experience, and the track is designed to give learners a working framework before they need it.

All three programmes are developed and maintained in Bangkok, delivered online in English, and available to learners anywhere. Pricing is in Thai Baht and reflects the time and expertise that goes into producing material of this quality.
